No go - - nuntium ducentesimum octogesimum quartum

Craft fairs.  sigh.

Barely a glance at the messy flowers.  No interest in the dreamcatchers.  But I did sell a few things.  I made the table fee anyway.

And the musicians were great!

Then we went to my family's home in ND.  I got in some tatting in the car.  I made three anklets for the younger daughter (no picture, they were out of my hands before I knew it).

What's next?

Either way, I think your display and tatted items are wonderful!!! :)

  2. Oh that’s disappointing! Glad you at least made your table fee and enjoyed the music. The anklets sound popular anyway. Hooray.

  3. I'm really reluctant to attend craft fairs any more. Our Christmas in the Village is only a $15 fee, but I have to cart in my own table and chair. Just thinking of it makes me weary!

What's next? The Twin Cities Tatters retreat! See you soon!

  4. That's too bad about the fair. I like to just demonstrate, as it's too difficult for me to get up a decent inventory. But the other gals like to make things to sell, so visitors who want to buy aren't disappointed. The good thing is that you have inventory for another event if you choose to attend.

At first I thought that North Dakota was far, far away from you - but I see that ND and MN border each other! I don't know why I was surprised by that! Of course, you're closer to the eastern side!

    1. Haha- I'm a skip from Wisconsin so to go to ND, I must cross all of MN (in the skinny part) and then a good 1/2 of ND. It's 7 hours but that's a lot of tatting time!

  5. Sadly trying to sell Craft at Fairs is very difficult in England as well. In fact I have now given up with them. Interesting enough many organisations who used to put them on have also stopped. Like Diane says the time and effort is not worth it either. All to often people just give a quick glance or say they could "make that" Really! I don't think so. However your display looks wonderful and therefore it is such a shame that there was a lack of interest.

  6. Sadly craft fairs seem to be going out in the uk and selling at them is getting hard, as everyone wants things for nothing and won’t always pay the price even for hand made. Looks like it’s the same with you too.
Your table looks lovely not sure the Christmas tree helped in July.
