nuntium centesimum octavum (108th post) W.S. strikes again!

That Wanda Salmans!  She is a talented designer and made the loveliest little heart.  When I asked about the pattern, she sent it to me!  Now, I tried it and it's easy and very understandable but I had the silliest time making it.  Starting, trying a new way to add beads, deciding that wasn't the way to do it, distatifying, restarting, not liking that, distatifying, unwinding, stringing beads, making ridiculous mistakes, distatifying, running out of thread(!), distatifying, redoing, etc.
And after all that, I don't like it.  I like the pattern, the shape and the heart but I don't like the pink.  What was I thinking?  Next time white with the pretty beads.

Anyone know a 5-year old who would like an ugly bookmark?

Latin for today:  tempus tero. = I'm wasting time.

  1. I have two girls hanging over me here that both were going oooh pretty when this popped up on the screen...it's really quite lovely, but I do suspect the colors to be more wildly popular with the younger girls :-). I always admire your method of making these pretties into bookmarks, so elegant.

  6. It's not ugly at all! It's not my style, but it's not ugly. I know three little girls who would be thrilled to have it, and two of them live in Minnesota! ;-)

I'm sure that whoever you give it to will love it!
