Thank you, Frivole, for making the leaf video. It was a real help!
My older daughter (the one who tats too) and I went to a cafe this weekend for some special tatting time- I am SO lucky. We had fun! She's working on a totusmel pattern and I did the Tischband. We also talked about why tatting with tiny thread is fun but how it takes FOREVER to produce anything of size. : )
Latin for today: filiam meam amo - I love my daughter.

Lovely, the flowers are beautiful, I like the colours you have used.

DeleteFasciam mensae tuam amo! ?
DeleteHaha! I sure wish I had kept my high school Latin books. Think of the fun I could be having now!
DeleteThat is gorgeous. I didn't realize how small it was until I saw the last picture. That's a lot of work for it to be that small!!!!
ReplyDeleteQuesto lavoro al chiacchierino è meraviglioso! Bravissima, complimenti!
ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine doing this with size 80 thread! I've often said that I'm pleased that I CAN tat with size 80, as I find it difficult to crochet with, but I very rarely do tat with it. I applaud your patience and skill! This piece should be framed!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice that you can share your love of tatting with your daughter!
Wow! I didn't realize how small it was, either, until I saw the picture with the quarter. Oh,my, oh, my! You did a great job on it. It is so cool that you can have a tat and chat with your daughter. I keep hoping one day on of my daughters will be interested.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful motif :)
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are to be able to share tatting with your daughter.
ReplyDelete#80! Tischband? Yikes! You have done a brilliant job!
