Yuck! My sister gave me some thread that someone she knew got as a free sample. It's the Lizbeth Twirlz stuff and I thought I might be able to use it for and edging but I made one ring of the edging, said NOPE and then made a butterfly. It's size 10 which feels a bit like rope anyway.
Ugh.
So- anyone want a free sample of Twirlz, size 10? Not that I've sold it very well. But it could be viewed as patriotic- maybe. No color number listed.
Off to find something pretty....
I"m not a fan of the Twirlz thread, and I really don't like size 10... even worse is size 3!
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
DeleteI think it has a place in some tatting designs and may look better with a solid color to balance it or encircle it. Don't give up on it yet :)
ReplyDeleteWell, that could be...
DeleteI have not tried it yet, sounds like it's not the best although the colour is pretty.

Your butterfly looks pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of the thread either especially buying a whole ball of it, lucky you had a free sample!! You can get that effect by twisting together two different threads so it has never inspired me.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm glad it was free!
DeleteI've tried the green Twilz in size 20 and found closing rings can be trying. I did like it in a bookmark I made but it I think the pattern has to be right for the thread. It's much too busy for a lot of patterns.
ReplyDeleteYou are much kinder and generous than I. But I can see that it might work for certain patterns.
DeleteI used the Twirlz size 20 Midnight Mist for a bookmark and loved it! I really enjoyed trying the thread, and the Midnight Mist is a less busy colour. Posted a photo of it at http://facebook.com/tatsright
ReplyDeleteI think your butterfly looks fabulous in it!!! :)
