Sheesh, guess what happens if you work with a solid color and a variegated which contains the solid color AND you don't pay attention?
Yep, untatting.
Here's some of the untatting, I had actually gotten to blue before I realized.
Back to here.
But I've done it and have made some progress. Today was Twin Cities Tatters meeting so that was very fun. I'm more than a 1/4 way around- well, one repeat more than 1/4 way. Still, I'm pleased.
For some reason I messed up 4 times with the round before this one and I guess I was so excited to finish round 15 I just blundered :( You didn't go too far so that is great and this looks beautiful have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThat's could happen when you follow such a relaxing pattern, I think I can even read or talk while tatting and that just happens :) It is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures! I'm glad you were able to fix the mistake before getting too far.
ReplyDeleteI think we can all relate to this, glad you had not gone too far before you found out, looking beautiful so far
ReplyDeleteUntatting it tedious, but what you gotta do... I really like the look of this round, on all the participating blogs.
ReplyDeleteThe only way to avoid this would be to go monochromatic. I like your thread decisions so I hope the retrotatting wasn't too, too bad!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you ladies again yesterday! I'll watch for your doily at the fair!
Yes, I, too can relate. I think Ninetta expressed it well. I expect to have to be very diligent with the more complicated designs. It is the relaxing ones to tat that often trip me up because I get too comfortable. Your doily is looking fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHey this is Carollyn I double checked and you got to scroll down to another diagram she posted lots of pictures

ReplyDeleteThat would frustrate me! Your doily is looking fabulous and you are so close to the finish line!!! :) I need to catch up! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ninetta. Made my share of boo boos in this round - thought I'd forgotten how to count ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the completion
