And I *think* I'm going to try Renulek's doily. Here's what I've chosen.
Both are "vintage" threads from Aunt Rose-E which means they are possibly 50+ years old. How exciting. And it's that wee stuff, cleverly called "tatting crochet", yikes! Where's the magnifying glass?
I love the bookmark and with tatting some accidents are wonderful surprises, looks like great colors to start the new spring doily witb

ReplyDeleteI like your 'mistake'. It makes a great bookmark. Good luck with the tiny thread. I'm sure it will make a lovely doily.
ReplyDeleteGreat bookmark!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYour doily colors look wonderful!!! :)
That is a happy mistake! I think it looks really nice. I love the colors you've chosen for Renulek's doily. I think Aunt Rose-E would be pleased!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful mistake! It's really beautiful. As to the small thread, my trick is that I keep several pairs of 1.5 and 1.75 cheap reading glasses around. I look rather silly with a pair of them propped on my nose in front of my bifocal eyeglasses, but it works. Some of them are very colorful, too!
ReplyDeleteLove your "mistake" bookmark, very pretty. I'm thinking of the Renulek doily too... but then I've got so many things on the go!! I look forward to seeing yours.
ReplyDeleteYes, makes a very good motif! I don't think I can be tempted by the new Renulek but I'm looking forward to watching others make it.
ReplyDeleteGreat mistake and it looks ok mistake or no mistake its unique to you
ReplyDeleteLovely colours should look lovely
