English Tatting - nuntium duocentesimum septuagesimum

Here are some of things I was able to tat while in England.  It's a version of a lovely little Mary Konior pattern.  Now I just need to write it down so I remember what I've done.

If they look familiar, you're right.  I made these a few years ago.  Last time though I sewed in the beads afterward (yuck!) but this time I used SCMR.  I think they look equally good but so much easier!

  1. No, they don't look equally good - they look a 100% safer from falling out AND they are integral to the lace so really are part of it!!!!! Hope you enjoyed your trip. We're going through some 'silly' weather now!!!

    1. Thank you! I'm delighted that they are truly integral and I chuckled this morning at re I posted because I noticed on one of the old ones a bead had fallen off! I loved the weather, especially after 4 days in Naples at 34°!

  2. Yes I do remember them, I remember tatting one with the beads in the middles far better than sewing the beads in afterwards.
The pattern is by Kirsty from Craftree,
You would not want the weather we have been having over the last few days, today have been torrential rain and thunder and it's not very warm. Summer has disappeared hopefully it will be back.

    1. Interesting, Margaret. I thought it was a Mary Konior design.

    2. Kersti's bookmark seems based on the MK design. Mine is different from Kersti's - an adaptation but I think Mary Konior is the true designer.
